To say the least, the Atlanta Beltline has been a catalyst for home value appreciation and new development in Southwest Atlanta. Analysis of data obtained from gamls.com reveals a significant increase in home values within the $350,000 – $600,000 price range. Year-over-year comparisons ending October 2017 and October 2018 there was approximately an 8.5% increase in average home selling price. Specifically, year ending 10/20/2017 there were 6 homes that sold for an average price of $370,000 with average 15 days-on-market at the highest price point of $425,000, and year ending 10/20/2018 there were 47 homes that sold for an average price of $401,468 with average 18 days-on-market at the highest price point of $585,000. Homes located closest to the Atlanta Beltline appear to have fetched the highest selling prices.
